Can you imagine creating a book for your grandchildren?
I have 3 grandsons under 5, and 2 of them have been passionate Fire Chiefs. Do you have a firefighter in your family?
This book is a very brief but real expedition to the local firehouse shared by a grandmother and her Fire Chief grandson. When a real fire breaks out, and the fire fighters successfully put out the fire and rescue a cat, the two share a profound and heartening experience.
Andi Porretta, an art student in her final year at Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, gave the brief story the most exceptional, professional, and loving illustrations. The book is now a REAL book.
Finally, all of the proceeds from the sale of this book will go to RAICES, an organization that helps reunite families in the border communities. Grandparents and children, mothers & fathers and children. https://www.raicestexas.org/
