We are coming to the Family Holiday Season.

When you travel with your young children, how do you entertain them? What do you pack? Do you let them use an ipad? And earphones? And what about books?

KID Lit TV just might help.  A pink bow-tie wearing reader Rocco Sano reads aloud various wonderful books. He shows us the pages. Do yourself a favor and see the old and wonderful The Little Engine that Could written by Watty Piper and re-illustrated by Loren Long. It’s a gem.

And think about real actors reading books aloud? Story Line Online has a rich line up of excellent books and readers including Chris Pine, Sarah Silverman, Dulé Hill, and the wonderful Betty White reading one of my favorite olde-but-goode books Harry the Dirty Dog.

And one more: Storytime Castle on You Tube. These read-alouds show the pages really well, but with a disembodied voice. But there are good choices.

Please write with more suggestions!
Thank you.
