Philip Pullman says “Children need art and stories”

Philip Pullman, author of His Dark Materials, a fantasy trilogy I adored reading, clearly understands the vital importance of art and story in childrens’ lives.

“Children need art and stories and poems and music as much as they need love and food and fresh air and play.”
